On a wet and dreary day, St John’s did its best to spread a little sunshine with an inspiring ECO celebration. The focus this year was endangered animals which was chosen as the theme to link with World Environment Day.
Each class from St John’s as well as P4 and 5 from St Joseph’s presented some information about their chosen endangered species of animal and children who had completed the homework challenge had the opportunity to parade around showing off their fantastic creative work.
As well as learning about these beautiful creatures we were also entertained by the award winning St John’s choir whilst we tucked into our freezing cold ice cream. The children, parents and staff were very patient enduring the conditions and should be commended for the way they took part in our celebration.
Let’s hope for sunshine next year!
