Japan Painting Competition

Katie Alexander in P7 recently won a city wide competition.   The Japanese Consul told us “I am delighted to inform you that Katie Alexander has won 1st Prize in the P7 age category!  Katie’s wonderful picture, ‘The Sakura Scene’ will be exhibited at St Mary’s Cathedral (Palmerston Place, Edinburgh) on Saturday 6th May as part of Japan Children’s Day.”

Last Saturday Katie and her mum attended the ceremony where Katie was awarded a certificate  (presented by Consul General, Mr Daisuke Matsunag) a box of Japanese sweets and a copy of her painting, framed .

Great achievement Katie!
