We were very excited to part of the Woodland Trust ‘Plant a Tree’ programme yesterday in St John’s. Vicky, Helena, Emilia, Amelia, Filip and Micheal helped Tana, who does fabulous work planting and inspiring a love of gardening with our children, to plant Hazel, Oak and Hawthorn trees for future generations. Children were photographed, filmed and interviewed as part of the project and they will have the chance to visit the Scottish Parliament to see the finished product on the 17th December.
The Woodland Trust is asking people to plant a million trees in a bid to tackle climate change. It is vital that we grow a UK wide patchwork of trees, not just by planting, but also through natural regeneration.
Our children represented us very well, as always and we are delighted to play a small part in this vital conservation work in partnership with the Woodland Trust.
