P3 worked really hard to untangle netting and build a tunnel to protect our broad beans, onions and garlic. They used excellent team work and got everything done without getting into a tangle!
Protecting our Crops
Onions and Garlic
P3 have been planting onions and garlic.
Broad beans
P3 have been planting broad bean seeds. These seeds will germinate and grow slowly over the winter and spring. We look forward to harvesting them in the summer.
Green Manure
P3 planted some green manure seeds in the old strawberry bed before the October break. The seeds have germinated and the seedlings are growing well. In the spring we will dig these plants back into the soil to fertilise it to hep our new vegetables to grow.
Autumn Planting
After all the rain last week P3 were back in the garden again this week preparing the soil and planting broad beans. They worked hard to weed the beds, add compost and plant the broad beans in rows.
