On Thursday 23rd March, Primary 7 Pupils attended the annual Transition Mass at St Mary’s Cathedral, York Place. The church was filled with children preparing to move to High school after the summer and each school was represented by a banner which was carried in during the opening procession. Rebecca and Cezary did a great job for St John’s.
During his homily the Archbishop encouraged all the young people in attendance to commit to being followers of Jesus with every part of their being and he wished them well for the future in High school. Mr Santini, Head teacher of St Thomas HS congratulated all the children in attendance for their behaviour and participation during Mass.
Our pupils were a credit to themselves, their families and our school. Thank you to P7 teachers for preparing the children for Mass and Joanna, who kindly accompanied us on the excursion. Well done Primary 7!
