On Saturday 21st September there is a national event for parents with children in Catholic schools which aims to support you as the first educators of your children. The day will include activities for children, so that child care is not an obstacle to attending. We hope that the programme will be of interest to all families and will help strengthen the link between Catholic homes, the parish and their schools.
Details of the event are listed below:

We were delighted to receive the news this week that we have been reaccredited as a Fairtrade school. Every three years we are required to submit evidence in support of our accreditation.
Thanks to all the hard work by teachers and pupils in school we have maintained our Fairtrade Achieving Status.
Mr Burgess has stepped down from Fairtrade after a number of years and Mrs Gillespie has agreed to lead Fairtrade as part of our Sustainability work in St John’s in conjunction with our ECO lead Ms Mitchell.
We will continue to embed Fairtrade learning into our curriculum most notably during Fairtrade fortnight and we will promote ethical consumerism and sustainability throughout the entire school year.
St John’s RC is proud to be a Fairtrade school!
