Catholic education Centenary marked with Mass of thanksgiving

On the 22nd of November we went to St Mary’s Cathedral near the Omni cinema. There were 8 P6 and P7 pupils with Mr Burgess. When we arrived we saw schools from all over the archdiocese. The mass was a celebration of 100 years of Catholic education and Bishop Toal of Motherwell celebrated the mass. Archbishop Leo Cushley accepted the Icon of Jesus the Teacher on behalf of the people of St Andrews and Edinburgh before leaving to fly to London. We sang lovely hymns and then avoided the rain on the way back to school on the bus!
