Young engineers on their marks!

An enthusiastic group of P6 & 7 engineers began an exciting STEM project last week as they aim to build an electric go kart. The project, funded by the Parent Council, aims to encourage an appreciation and understanding of engineering and technology amongst pupils.

Each group spends an hour a week completing aspects of the build, on average the build takes around 15 hours to complete. So far the basic chassis has been assembled a long with the steering column and the seat.

As part of the project, the young engineers involved will write a short blog to share updates next week.

It is hoped that after this initial attempt, another group of young engineers will have the opportunity to build the Goblin Go kart.
