P2 – The Last 2 Weeks!
Pupils and staff have been very busy in the run up to Christmas. From Christmas shows, to Christmas parties, to Christmas games and fun! Here are some pictures of what we have been up to!
Christmas Show
The whole school took part in the Magical Christmas Jigsaw show, the wonderful idea of Miss Miller. P2 played the role of barn animals welcoming the baby Jesus into the world. Here are some pictures of the different animals we played and sang as! We were so proud of P2 who sang beautifully.
Christmas Party
P2 enjoyed a mix of different party games, snacks and dances last week! Here are some pictures of the fun!
Christmas P.E. fun!
Instead of a usual P.E. lesson, P2 enjoyed some free choice of play on the Astro! Pupils chose from a variety of activities including football, skipping ropes, tennis, hula hoops, bean bags, relay running and more!
Christmas Movie
On Thursday afternoon, P2s settled down for a Christmas movie. They enjoyed watching the Grinch (cartoon version)!

P2B This Week
P2 have had a busy week. Here are some of the things they have been up to.
Taste Test
P2 finished up their senses topic this week, and to round it all up, we did a taste test! We first learned about the different tastes, and then practised identifying them ourselves!
We tried red and green grapes, and we decided the red grapes were more sweet and the green more sour. We tried red and green bell peppers, deciding that bell peppers tasted bitter, but that the green bell peppers were more bitter. We finally tried the lemon, and we all decided these were very sour!
However, some of us liked the lemon’s taste so much we asked for more!
Music Visitor
For the next few weeks, P2 will have a music specialist coming to visit each week. This specialist will do some songs and games with the class to expose them to different instruments, rhythms, and lyrics!
Advent and the Liturgical Calendar
This week marks the beginning of advent, and the class learned about the Liturgical calendar and advent. To better understand the liturgical calendar and what the different colours mean, they coloured in their own calendar!
Next week, we will look at the advent wreath and what it means.
