P7 perspectives

P7 looked at aspects of artwork that show perspective . Such as scale, size and position. They took a worms perspective on these snowmen! Next time they will try a birds eye view

Too early for snow?!

P4 looked at images of children catching snow on their tongues and singing carols in the winter time

We then looked at using simple shapes to create a fun cartoon version of this

The class decided on suitable patterns and designs for the clothes and added their own choice of snow or music nots to show what the character was doing.

Scarecrows by p3

P3 listened to a story of a scarecrow through the different seasons

The illustrator created a different image for each month of the year

The class identified different weather , crops, skies and animals present at different times of the year

They chose a month to recreate using different colours , lines and pattern to express the differences.

Felt impressions by p6

P6 looked at some artwork by Claude Monet – who was an impressionist painter

The class then got clean ( for once!) -using their hands and soap to felt wool into their own impressions of the artists work.

Can you work out which paintings they were looking at?
