On Wednesday 6th December St John’s community celebrated the 130th Anniversary of the original opening of the school with a special Mass celebrated by Fr Jock Dalrymple.
Children from P1 to P7 were involved in the Mass with symbols representing our school shared at the beginning of the service. Children sang beautifully throughout the Mass and Ms Service spoke so well about the history of our school and some of the special events which taken plac here.
Guests joined staff for tea and coffee before lunch and children enjoyed cake and juice to celebrate this milestone in St John’s history.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success especially musicians, Miss Miller who led our singing, Ms Service who practised with readers and Fr Jock.
