Altar Servers raise hundreds for Mary’s Meals

A collection of Altar servers from St John’s and St Mary Magdalene’s, handed over a cheque to Mary’s Meals on Monday in front of the assembled school community. Aoife, Martha, Zuzanna and Gabriela held a bake sale after Mass at St Mary Magdalene’s parish and sold cakes in school last week to raise a fantastic amount of money. Altogether the girls raised £240 which will be doubled by Mary’s Meals. Sheila, a representative from the charity gratefully accepted the cheque and shared some of the work Mary’s meals does in schools around the world. Thank you girls for the fantastic effort and to those people who supported by purchasing and making cakes for the bake sale.
