Evacuee day took place on Monday last week. This was the day when we came to school wearing clothes that evacuees would wear and we pretended to be evacuated by walking to the park and back. We had to keep our gas masks on us all day just incase Hitler sent his planes and bombed us.
We also did WW2 writing and comprehension about Winston Churchill and life for evacuees and we also acted out evacuee pictures using facial expressions and body language and emotions.
Lastly we acted out a scene from the book about evacuees, the book was called Carries War.
