In the middle of the last week we found out the exciting news about who the house captains
were. In Abercorn Rueben and Ellie got house captain, while in Brighton Mette and Michael
were awarded the role, Figgate is Ana and Alisha, Quarry Erica and Natalie and finally, in
Rosefield Emma and Freya. Then further on that week we found out about the 500 word
story and our whole class are submitting entries. Then skipping over to Monday the
assemblies started back up and we got an exciting visit from Fire Men and they taught us
about fire safety.
Then on Wednesday we went to the risk factory! We learned about all the risk in our day to
day life, small ones and big ones. We learned what to do if our houses set on fire or why you
should never step onto a railway track. We even got to go on a real Lothian bus that had set
on fire. Later on after the trip, we got to make Notans, which is and art piece that is only
black and white and made in a mirror image. Then after school the first parent consultations
were held. And then for maths we started our new P7 topic of division.
The on the next day found out about an art competition do with Christmas. The theme was
festive traditions. And the winners get to the city chambers and get show as bus stop digital
pictures in Edinburgh. And to finish off the 2 exciting weeks more parent consultations are
being held this Friday Afternoon.
