P2 have been busy exploring space, celebrating Diwali, learning more sounds, and developing our addition skills in numeracy.
- Numeracy – We will be looking at addition within 50 and beyond to challenge. We are learning about the different methods of addition: for example, number-bonds, subitising, part-part-whole models and bar-models.
- Phonics – We are continuing to develop our sound knowledge and using these sounds in our writing and reading.
- Writing – We are continuing to learn how to structure a sentence using colourful semantics. We are now writing sentences with a who, what, where and when.
- Topic – We have been applying our knowledge of space, and our skills of focusing, teamwork, and independence through hands-on STEM challenges. This week, we planned and built our own rockets using recycling!
