Primary 3 Learning

Over the last few weeks, Primary 3 have been engaged in a range of exciting learning experiences across the curriculum. In Maths, we have been developing our understanding of fractions through practical outdoor activities, helping us to explore fractions in real-life contexts.

Our outdoor learning sessions in Figgate Park provided opportunities to investigate nature, work collaboratively and develop problem-solving skills while enjoying the local environment.

In Literacy, the children have been building their writing skills through self- and peer-assessment activities. They have been learning how to reflect on their own work, give constructive feedback and identify ways to improve their writing.

In Art, the class created beautiful paintings inspired by the remarkable migration journey of swallows from Scotland to South Africa. The children explored colour, movement and landscape while learning about the incredible distances these birds travel each year.
