P2 Living Things Posters

It has been wonderful seeing the children present their home learning posters about a chosen ‘living thing’ to their class this week. What an array of plants and animals we have learned about!

We are looking forward to continuing with this as and when posters come in to school. Great work P2. Thank you to parents for supporting learning at home.

P2 Update

We have started working on TIME in maths this week. Please support your child at home by telling the time using o’clock and half past the hour.

Here are some games to play at home.

P2/1 22.5.25

As part of our LIVING THINGS topic, we have been learning about birds. We managed to name 22 different types of birds. Today, we focused on the robin, reading information and writing a fact-file about it.

This afternoon, we enjoyed outdoor art using watercolour paints to create a scene with birds.

P2 and P2/1 Home Learning Task:

Do some bird watching! Look for different types of birds in the garden, at the park, at the beach etc.

Listen to birdsong.

Read information about birds. Draw pictures and write some facts about habitat, diet, appearance, nesting/young.

9.5.25

Today, we learned about our new Pope, Leo XIV. The children were fascinated to watch film of the white smoke billow from the chimney above the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City. We saw Pope Leo speak to the crowds gathered at St Peter’s. Here is Pope Leo by our very own Leo in P2.
