Our P2 chefs have been busy again! We made Chinese ‘Tang Yuan’ or rice flour dumplings which are served in a sweet soup. The children learned that Tang Yuan symbolise family togetherness and reunion which is why they are eaten at New Year. P2 tasted then discussed the textures and flavour of their dumplings.

In PE, the children worked together in groups of 4 to create, rehearse and perform a dragon dance as part of our learning about Chinese New Year traditions. The children did an amazing job and we really enjoyed watching our show at the end. Well done everyone!
