P7 World of Work visit

Yesterday we learned about blood cells inside the human body. A Haematologist came into school to tell us about her job. She told us there are three main blood cells one being the red blood cell which is the most common of the three. They suck up oxygen and that is why they are the most important. All of the cells come from the mother cell which makes small cells then become one of the three cells.

The job of the white cells are to get rid of bacteria inside your body, they think that white sells have arms to grab all the bacteria and eat it.

The third type of cells are little and their job is to heal wounds by clotting.

We found it interesting to find out how the body works, who knew the body was so complex and clever!
