St John’s Pupils visit St Therese Relics

8 of our senior pupils visited St Mary’s Cathedral as part of an archdiocesan celebration of Mass on Monday 9th September. The boys and girls prayed at the altar with the relics of St Therese of Liseux after Mass before returning to school.

St John’s was one of 28 schools represented at the Mass which was celebrated by His Grace Archbishop Leo Cushley. The Mass marked the arrival of the relics in our Archdiocese and during the homily Archbishop Leo Cushley explained why St Therese has such a devoted following here in Scotland.

The children who attended mass were very respectful and reverent and represented our school very well.
