P6 Learning Log – Week Beginning 09.09.19

We have had a very busy week!

In PE, we have been considering what skills an astronaut might need to go into space. Once we decided what they would need to work on, we pretended we work for NASA and, in groups, created fitness games and drills to work on a variety of skills.

Continuing the space theme, we have been learning about the phases of the moon, and are excited to look at the full moon this weekend! On Thursday, we displayed our learning so far about the Earth, sun and moon on book creators, and enjoyed presenting these to everyone.

We have been working really hard in maths this week, learning all about decimals and managing to add and subtract numbers with one decimal point.

We were given our home learning this week, and we now all have a reading book and some activities to do at home, along with spelling, Big Talking and our termly home learning grid. We will also have a weekly Sumdog challenge if we want to practise our maths. More information about home learning can be found here.
