P5 learning

P5 were working hard last week. In numeracy they were outside doing times table flowers with chalk and also working on two digit by one digit chimney sums. They creating their very own sweet for Willy Wonka. This included a planning stage where we named our sweet, discussed it’s function and described our sweet used various adjectives to make it appealing. We then created a protocol of our sweet and finally wrote a persuasive letter to Willy Wonka describing why he should choose ours! We then teleported ourselves to anywhere in the world like Mike Teevee did in the book and chose a country to research. We presented our findings to the class. We worked in groups to come up with our own design for the class charter and chose five rights that were important to us. We will have a vote( Dragon’s Den style) and create the winning charter this week in class!
