Primary one have been busy since their return from the October break.
They have been working on the sounds of j, v and w this week and have been making and writing words such as jet, vet, wet. They have been using whiteboards and pens to practise their writing, making words with the magnetic boards, using playdough to make the sound, and finding sounds on Autumn leaves in the sand tray.
We have a PGDE student, Miss Salter, who started this week in P.1. She worked with the children on a ‘Getting to Know You Activity’. They talked about things they liked and what they like to do. They finished by making a mini version of themselves with a wooden figure shape, material and felt pens. You can see some of the figures standing up in the sand tray.
