This week in literacy we have been consolidating our consonant blends br, cr, dr, fr, gr, pr and tr.
Some words to practise spelling and reading at home are:
Bright, broom, crack, cream, drip, drink, frog, frank, green, grog, prank, pram, train and tree.
In numeracy, we have been learning about odd and even numbers. We chatted about how all the dots in an even number have a friend to hold hands with, while in an odd number there is always a dot ‘left out’. We have been practising counting on in 2s as a basis for our 2 times table.
This week we have been reading the book ‘Pick a Pumpkin’ and making some beautiful bright pumpkin artwork to decorate the classrooms. We searched in the playgrounds for Autumn leaves and enjoyed creating some mindful leaf rubbing art.
We had such fun dressing up, playing Halloween games and dancing together!
