Diwali

This week P.1 have been learning about the Hindu and Sikh festival of Diwali. They listened to the story of Rama and Sita. They made little clay oil lamps for this Festival of Light which they will decorate tomorrow. They learned about Rangoli patterns and made mandalas using seeds and lentils. Everyone had great fun dressing up in sari material and trying on the jewellery and bangles that Mrs Singh was kind enough to bring in.
