Our Learning
Writing – This week we wrote about a Halloween scene and we were very impressed by the independent and creative ideas.
This weeks red words: are of
Stars – We have been revising our initital sounds and consonant digraphs: sh. Some words to practice: shop, fish, dish
Moons- We have been learning the digraphs: ay ee. Some words to practice: play, tray, stay, bee, tre, three
Rockets- We have been revising our vowel digraphs: ar, or. Some words to practice – jar, start, car, door, sport, port.
Maths – We have been continuing to learn about place value. We have been partitioning into tens and ones and ordering numbers.
Space – We looked at a picture of the moon and talked about the shape and colours. We then painted our own moons. We took care mixing our paints, used a dry brush for texture and talked about cold colours.
