P6’s Climate Ready Classrooms Day

Today in P6 we took part in a full day of online workshops to help us to learn more about climate change. We are now climate ready classrooms. We are aware that any small change can make an impact on the environment. We have now produced an action plan as a stage of the small differences we can make.

Greenhouse Gas Emissions Experiment

Rumaysa was our chief water temperature scientist. She helped us to measure the water temperatures for our investigation hourly throughout the day.

Posters in action to create changes!
Costa! T-shirts! Jumpers! How hot does Lucas look as he represented the planet getting hotter and hotter?! Excellent visual learning!

New Skimming and Scanning Skills

Today in P6 we learned to use two new skills when we are reading: skimming and scanning.

We worked in pairs to scan and skim texts to find answers to questions.

We hope that these new skills will help us with our learning from now on!
