World Book Day in P6A

Check out our fabulous fancy dress efforts!

We had a great time reading during our library visit! We also made gorgeous bookmarks celebrating our favourite books during our World Book Day session with Miss Hancock.

Christmas in P6

We hope that you have all begun enjoying the beginning of your Christmas holiday by now. Here are some photos from our very busy last week of term:

One of many Christmas show rehearsals
Musical chairs (the boys’ turn) at our Christmas party
Waiting for the girls’ turn for musical chairs
Still waiting…
Last boy sitting!
A proud winner!
Time for a rest after some very competitive musical statues.
Some of us (understandably) needed a wee break from the party.
Delicious party food time with super helpers.
We managed to fit all 50+ of us in one classroom. No mean feat!

Look at those juicy turkeys and bright fairy lights! Who wouldn’t want to buy guaranteed goods from these two lovely sellers?!
We can’t wait to hear more of the dulcet tones from our Christmas Jigsaw choir!
Some gorgeous singing and savvy shopping was guaranteed from this gang!
From this gang too!
Some of our main characters ready to go on stage for the dress rehearsal. Huge thanks to Lily for being a stellar stand in for Lorenzo who was feeling unwell.
On stage at last!

Christmas artwork, including one of our winning jigsaw pieces.
More Christmas artwork, including Michael’s and Diddy’s winning Winter Windows! Check them out if you head into town over the holidays. The photo in the middle is of part of the large jigsaw prop we made for the Christmas play. Designs were submitted by many P6 children and the winners worked independently and in small groups to create their jigsaw pieces.

Watching the P1 Nativity

All of us in P6 loved watching the P1 Nativity preview that the P1s kindly performed for us. The acting was fabulous and the singing was wonderful! It was one of the highlights of our week!

P6 Christmas Lunch

P6 had fun eating together for our Christmas lunch this Wednesday. Apologies to those who didn’t get in the photo! We ended up eating at slightly different times so some of us were in other parts of the hall.

The meal was delicious, the company was excellent and the Christmas tunes playing were jolly!

The very generously portioned staff meal.

P6 Blog: Our Class Charter

Our Class Charter

At the start of this school year, we made a graffiti class charter that says how we should act throughout school. It was very fun to do and nice to look back at, now if we need a reminder on how to act, we can just look towards our wall, we also have one above the alter made by Lois Delaney. During that we learned art skills like how to draw graffiti art and blend coloured pencils.
