This year we aim to celebrate a Fairtrade Big Breakfast on Friday 18th March to celebrate Fairtrade fortnight and raise the profile of Fairtrade in St John’s Primary.
P2, 3 and 4 will lead the breakfast which is open to parents and carers as well as members of our local parish community.
P2 are making posters for the event, P3A are making flyers to advertise the breakfast. P4 are very busy with preparations for their Easter play, however they will also write a letter to Scotmid asking for support to provide teas and coffees.
As well as a breakfast cup of tea or coffee, visitors can have a healthy Fairtrade fruit kebab, some homebaking made using Fairtrade ingredients and orange or apple juice.
We also hope to hold a Fairtrade hamper raffle on the day with tickets for sale for £1 and P2 & 3 will also close the breakfast with a Fairtrade song. P4 pupils will also give us a sneak peek of their upcoming play with a song from the production.
If you are able to offer your time to volunteer to serve teas or coffees we would very much appreciate your support.
