This week we have been enjoying the lovely weather, especially on Monday. We went to the Astro and took lots of equipment with us to make up our own games. We also spent time outside on other days and played games like races, Chinese whispers, penalty shootouts, and all of the fun things. We have been playing volleyball in PE.
On Tuesday and Wednesday we learnt about habitat loss as part of our endangered animals topic. Habitat loss is terrible; people cut down trees and make them into tables, chairs and paper, but deforestation is bad for the environment. We also watched a BBC live lesson about sea pollution. Sea pollution is getting very bad for sea creatures such as turtles, fish, seals, whales and sharks.
On Wednesday we also wrote cinquain poems about endangered animals. They are poems made up of 5 lines and we had to describe an animal and it’s habitat and diet. For example, Lauren wrote one about a great white shark and Javaria chose an Amur leopard.
On Thursday, we were learning about Ramadan. Ramadan is a time when muslim people fast and Ramadan is called the month of the Quran because they believe that the Quran was revealed to the prophet Muhammed then.
